In this fun project, our task was to create a colorful mosaic inspired by one of the fascinating marine animals found in Africa. To begin, I turned to Google and searched for a picture of a marine animal, and after looking through many options, I decided on a Bottlenose Dolphin because they are so playful and beautiful! Next, we needed to use Google Drawings to upload the picture of the dolphin I chose. Once the picture was in my drawing, I used the polyline tool, which allowed me to trace triangle shapes over the dolphin’s image, creating a cool layered effect. It was really exciting to see the picture transform into a mosaic!
Kia ora Kaisele,
It’s Charlotte here, a blog commenter for Manaiakalani. I really enjoyed having a look at your work on the ‘Sea Creature Mosaic’ activity – ka pai!
I think Mosaic art is beautiful! In real life, you use small pieces of tiles or glass to create mosaic pieces, have you tried this before? If you enjoyed making mosaic art online you might also enjoy designing it in real life!
I love all the colours you used for your art. All the different blues remind me of the ocean. What is your favourite activity to do in the ocean? Mine is boogie boarding!

No I haven’t but I’ve tried it online, I like playing tag, and see who can hold their breath under water in the ocean. Thank you for commenting on my blog, and have a wonderful day.

It’s Charlotte again, a blog commenter for the Summer Learning Journey. Thank you for your response.
How did you find the online mosaic? Did you enjoy it? Tag is a very fun game! When I was younger I also enjoyed playing hide n seek, do you know that game?

I found it the mosaic art, really calm. I really enjoyed because it was really calm for me. I do know the hide n seek because when my family are in a family talk we play hide n seek or tell stories with my cousins. Thank you for commenting on my blog, and have a wonderful day.
