Disco Party

On September 26th of September 2024 there was a disco party because our PB4L counter have got full. The disco party started 4:30pm to 6:00pm. We had a pack of chips and a fizzy bottle and a glow stick necklace. When people walked in they were surprised they are lots of people inside and the DJ was dancing too. People think it was the best night ever.

I was dancing with my friends and sitting down to have a rest. Some people was doing the worm and sliding like football players slide. It was amazing and the lights was awesome too. If you have a disco party stand up and dance it might not do a disco again, if you are sitting and watching stand up and sing or dance.

When someone glow stick necklace broke there was no more glow sticks so I gave that girl one of my glow stick necklace because I had 2 glow stick necklace. My favourite part in the disco when we had a dance battle and the train. When it was 6:00pm we got into our classes and I went to my teacher, then we waited for our parents to pick up their children, and that was the end of the disco party.

TIES recount about Hauora Heart Rate Lesson in LS2

First, we started off with learning what the 4 walls mean of a hauora. They are spiritual, physical, metal and  family well being. Also we were learning how to feel our pulse, Mrs Anderson showed us how to feel our pulse and we did in 20 seconds and we got into partners.

Next, we talked about pulse and how to find it on our bodies. The pulse is the feeling of our heartbeat. We paired up with a classmate to check each other’s pulse on the neck or wrist. This helped us understand our heart’s health better. Then Mrs Anderson put on 20 seconds on the TV to do her heart pulse then wrote it on the whiteboard then times it by 3.

Then, Mrs Anderson asked Eneasi to give out whiteboards and whiteboard markers. To give it to 1 of the partners, we went outside. Then 1 person jogged on the spot and the other person wait for 20 seconds, then the other person checked their pulse then wrote it on the whiteboard and then they chose their position.

Lastly, we discuss why the athletes are different from us, that. They have a different heart rate than us when we were jogging. We had lots of fun and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Yeti v Big Foot

Bigfoot is a legendary creature that some people believe lives in the deep forests of North America. It is often described as a huge, hairy, ape-like being that walks on two legs, kind of like a giant, fuzzy human. People who say they’ve seen Bigfoot often mention that it has huge feet and stands about 7 to 10 feet tall! They also talk about finding enormous footprints or blurry photos that they think might show Bigfoot. Some people are really excited about these stories and spend a lot of time searching the woods for any sign of the creature.

Despite all the stories and excitement, scientists haven’t found any real evidence that Bigfoot exists. They believe that the sightings and footprints might be from other animals or even just a mix-up in what people think they saw. Some scientists think that the blurry photos and mysterious footprints could be hoaxes or mistakes. So, while Bigfoot is a fascinating and fun mystery to many, there’s no solid proof that it’s real—making it more of a legend and a part of popular folklore rather than a proven fact.

A Yeti is a famous creature from the snowy mountains of the Himalayas, which are very tall mountains in Asia. It’s often described as a big, hairy being that looks like a mix between an ape and a human, but with white or light-colored fur so it can blend in with the snow and ice. People who say they’ve seen a Yeti often describe it as being very tall, with large, mysterious footprints that seem to appear out of nowhere in the snow. Some stories even say that the Yeti can be quite shy and avoids people, which makes it even more mysterious.

Even though the Yeti is a popular and exciting legend, scientists haven’t found any solid proof that it really exists. They think that the sightings might be of other animals, like bears, or that the mysterious footprints could be made by snow leopards or other creatures. Some scientists also believe that the stories about the Yeti might have grown over time, turning simple animal tracks or local myths into a bigger mystery. So, while the idea of the Yeti is a fascinating part of folklore and adventure, it remains a legend and is not proven to be a real creature.
